Help Komen Tulsa Raise Additional Funds This Year…

During Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, the Tulsa Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will be the beneficiary of proceeds from the third annual Street of Dreams, which takes place October 14 – 29, 2006.

Where

Belmont is located in the heart of south Tulsa at 109th and Louisville and consists of 23 estate-sized lots featuring a two-acre lake/park with cascading waterfalls. The community living space has a professional-grade tennis court with half-court basketball option, lighted for night play, and a 4,000 square feet multi-hole putting green complex. The tree-shaded main avenue invites leisurely morning and evening strolls. No other south Tulsa development has ever offered such a high level of privacy and exclusivity combined with resort style amenities. The ten-foot-high full masonry perimeter wall completely circles the rolling grounds of the development. Belmont offers resort quality living with all the conveniences including shopping, restaurants, medical facilities, schools, and the newly developing River Walk Crossing complex. Belmont is in the Jenks school district with elementary and middle schools in the immediate area.

How does Street of Dreams benefit Komen Tulsa?

Komen Tulsa will be the sole charitable beneficiary of the 2006 Street of Dreams and will receive proceeds from tickets sales. As part of Komen’s involvement, the organization will provide volunteers to assist in guided tours of each home. That’s where we’re hoping you can help us.

Volunteer to Help with Street of Dreams

We are looking for volunteers to serve as greeters in each of the four homes on the Street of Dreams tour. Typically, volunteers sign up to work a four-hour shift from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday – Saturday, or from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Sunday. We have 300 volunteer slots to fill, so we need as many volunteers as possible. The upside for Komen? There is the potential for Komen Tulsa to raise tens of thousands of dollars for research, educational and assistance programs through the Street of Dreams, so your help is greatly needed and appreciated.

One benefit of volunteering: each person who signs up for a shift will get to tour these beautiful homes free (a $15 value).
